Sec 2 | Subject Combination Appeal Advice

Okay , today my school released our streaming results , I was disapointed when I saw I was into a 6 subject Course .

I have simply no idea why i was posted to Art , My CA1 For Art was a pathetic 20% , Overall was 58% because of the easy coursework , the mean mark for art on a level standard is 64% . This simply meant I was below Average.

My level position is 123/158 .

My current posted class next year is 3E3 .

So I'm wondering what are the chances of me getting into another subject combination (3E4) , which allows me to change Art to POA , Bio Chem to Phy/Chem . In terms of level positions , I would defintely get a advantage over them , but the regret right now is not choosing any 6 subjects . I used my 8 choices all into 8 , 7 combinations .

P.S : I never passed Art in Primary School in 4 years. Not because of no effort , simply no artistic education when I was young , I was more exposed to scientific part during my education . And its a total switch of careers that I aspired to do when i grow up , I have programming knowledge , subsential C++ Knowledge , Delevopment .

Can you guys advice me on the appeal and the chances ?

You say that you are more inclined towards Science.....

..... but both your Maths and Science results are poorer than Art.

we wouldn't know ur chances bcos we not your sch teacher or principal (wah liew, u din even say ur sch loh...........)

diff sch diff criteria and selection process

but of cos u can appeal by attaching a relli ugly drawing with it to prove your point
plus a personal portfolio of your "talents" for them to consider putting u in the appropriate combi to help u grow them

changing Art to POA is quite a good idea

Keeping the school a secret will be better , you wouldn't know if this might affect potiential secondary 1s entering this school next year haha . i might try dat ;)

What I can say is: you lie on the bed that you have made.

Yes, I'm being harsh, but if you had really wanted to be a computer engineer or something, you should know that it takes hard work and effort.

Hi,

Programming knowledge , subsential C++ Knowledge , Delevopment is under computer studies to me instead of science. So your scientific part is probably not science.

Given your results, I would advice you not to take pure science. I will leave the changing of bio/chem to phy/chem to your decision.

However, I would encourage you to take POA instead of Art definitely. If your sch offers computer studies, go for it.
